NDIS Registered Provider
We are a registered NDIS provider delivering supports for people with disability through:
- Supported Independent Living (SIL)
- Community Participation
- High intensity daily personal activities
- Support Coordination
All registered NDIS providers must follow and meet the requirements of the NDIS practice standards. To demonstrate this providers have to pass a full audit of systems and supports, every three years as well as a mid-term surveillance audit 18 months after every full audit. Auditors also speak to the staff and the people we support, to understand how people feel about the organisation and services. It offers a great opportunity to check what we are doing well, and see where we can improve.
Disability Connect is audited by QMS. The audit team is independent, so they do not work for the provider or for the NDIS Commission. During an audit the auditors check and review policies and procedures, probity, training, governance. They check whether the files show that practice is in line with the NDIS standards, our policies and good practice. They also check what we do with confidential information, and whether we make sure you understand your rights, and we meet our responsibilities to you.
Auditors also speak to the staff and the people we support, to understand how people feel about the organisation and services. It offers a great opportunity to check what we are doing well, and see where we can improve.
Once they complete the audit they make recommendations to the commission and to the registered provider.
